Manuel Mattheisen is a Professor of Psychiatry, Psychosomatics, and Psychotherapy at the University of Wuerzburg, Germany. Prof Mattheisen is currently working on a study which aims to identify common genetic variation conferring risk to obsessive-compulsive disorder and/ or Tourette’s. In addition, he is studying gene-environment interplays.

Prof Mattheisen co-chairs the PGC TS/OCD Working Group and leads our efforts on the most recent OCD genome-wide association study.
